KMCA’s next safety council meeting will be December 11, 2018 in Salina, KS at Great Plains Trucking from 10 AM till 2 PM.  Lunch is being provided by MHC Kenworth.

This session KMCA will be taking a look at CSA/SMS Scores and how they affect your company.  Topics included will be:

  • What is SMS/CSA?
  • How do the scores effect my company?
  • The weight of violations and scoring system
  • How often is SMS/CSA updated and how often a company should check
  • When does FMCSA get involved?
  • Action plan when your company goes into the red.
  • What happens when violations are wrong
    • KMCA will have a detail session on how to file a DataQ
    • What things you can DataQ
    • What is the process 

Then we will break it down with a progressive series on each of the safety factors in the SMS/CSA scoring system.  The first area of impact will be a discussion of Medical Certification and what happens when drivers are asked for further testing.
